About the cruise

Come to LOB – There’s a party on the boat!

What: LOB is a cruise for anyone anywhere! It’s made for students and other student-minded persons. We sail to Stockholm and back.

Where: Silja Symphony, which leaves at Olympia terminal. Boarding passes handout at the harbour at 13.30-16.00.

When: 7.-9.4.2019

Age limit: minimum age 18 years

Program: Starting Show with bubbly, task point round, costume contest and alot more!

Dresscode: Theme related costume and/or overalls

Silja Line regulations and rules of order are valid for the whole duration of the LOB cruise.

It is prohibited to bring your own alcoholic beverages and music playback devices (for example portable speakers) to the ship. Passenger bags will be checked prior to boarding of the ship.

We would also like to remind you that the official LOB photographer will circle around the ship capturing moments of our fantastic student cruise. The material taken may be shared on the LOB social media platforms. By participating to the cruise, passenger gives permission to the LOB student cruise to use the said material in future marketing, if not requested otherwise.

The ship has wireless internet that you can access with the code found on your boarding card.

If there is any trouble on the ship please contact the info on the promenade (deck 7).

You can drink beverages from restaurants or bars all around the ship (except shops). You are not allowed to drink beverages from tax free aboard the ship. The ship’s crew can make temporary regulation t.ex. about the alcohol politics on the ship so remember to behave!

Packing for the cruise

All passengers has their own (shared) cabin where all belongings can be kept. The same cabin will serve both ways of the cruise. Cabin has towels and bedsheets. So no need to pack heavy.

Take with you:

  • Identification – Passport, also drivers license is valid for Finnish nationality
  • Cash – cards don’t work 100 percent of the time
  • Hygiene products – make the trip nicer for other people too
  • Swimwear – if you’d like to visit the spa
  • Costume and/or coveralls and of course a party mode!

At the harbour

The cruise takes off at Olympiaterminaali (Olympiaranta 1) where you can come by tram 2 and 3.

Every LOBster will get one envelope by presenting their ID. The envelope contains the boarding pass, the program etc. Each participant gets a wristband which will allow them to participate in the LOB program. Keep the wristband on your wrist the whole cruise! Note that everyone gets their own envelope and trip’s reservation codes aren’t needed.

You can claim your envelope from the LOB booth from 1.30 pm until 4 pm. Get your own early, because boarding starts at 3.00 pm and there will be lines. The cruise’s starting show is already at 4 pm at Atlantis Palace!

The doors will close 16.30 and the ship leaves the harbor at 5 pm. There will be a package check at the gates to ensure that LOB passengers don’t take their own alcoholic beverages or other forbidden items on the ship.
